    	Hello,
    
    	We have an hsz40 in dual redundant configuration,with the 3 
    	alpha 2100 severs connected to the SCSI bus (kzpsa).
    
    	I'd like a little clarification about the instalallation of
    	the hsz40 patches.After installing them,and in order to activate
    	them,is it necessary to stop (shutodwn) all systems (host) and restart 
    	the controllers? Or,without stop the host activity,restart one
    	controller first and the other after?.

At one console just restart each controller without shutting down the host.
Has worked for me :-)

With OpenVMS/AXP I didn't see any disks go MOUNT-VERIFY, all access continued.

    	Just in case......
    	I forgot in reply .0 to comment that the actual version of the 
    	HSZ40's is V2.7Z-0.I don't know if this can be important in 
        reference to the answer pointed in reply .1.
