762.0. "Upgrade NT Cluster to Dual HSZs?" by ACISS2::SDATZMAN () Thu Feb 06 1997 14:38
CURRENT STATE: I have an NT Cluster composed of 2 AS4000's and a
mid-bus RA410 with a single SWXRC-05 (HSZ40). The RAID controller
is at firmware level V3.0Z-1. The Cluster software is V1.0A (SP1).
The OS is NTS V3.51 (SP5). Everything is working OK.
OBJECTIVE: Add a second SWXRC-05 for redundancy, and upgrade
its firmware to V3.0Z-1. I have the SWXRC-05, which is at
F/W V2.7, the V3.0 F/W IMG file and patch, and the required
tri-link connector and jumper cable.
QUESTION: What is the best sequence of steps required to
reach this objective? What CLI commands are required to
reach this objective?
Thanks,
Steve

762.1 | Use PCMCIA cards at same level | ACISS2::SDATZMAN | | Fri Feb 07 1997 11:52 | 5 |
| The problems we were having have been resolved by using
PCMCIA firmware cards which are both at level V3.0Z-1.

762.2 | You could use the next patch level... | SSDEVO::RMCLEAN | | Fri Feb 07 1997 12:45 | 1 |
| That does cure the problem but you should be at patch level 2 not 1
