Hi This is regd the battery backup for cache in HSJ50. The sales update mentions that this is in the form of external SBB module. I want to know where does this SBB fit, does it go in the controller shelf (BA350-MB) ? Thanks in advance. Ajit Kale

The External Cache Battery is contained in a standard SBB. It will fit in the controller shelf ONLY if you have one power supply installed. If you have two power supplies in your BA350-M shelf, then you'll need to find any unused slot in a drive shelf. Note that the ECB does not draw any power directly from the backplane of the shelf that it's plugged into. Power to charge the batteries comes through the cable attached to the cache module. And... If you don't have any free slots... I have seen some people put it in the bottom of the cabinet loose. As Tom said it can be put any place that is available. | |||||
