Note number 1178 and mine are identical. However, there was no response to that note so I'm refreshing it. Could someone please tell me if there is any way for a TLZ09 to be supported on HSJ40. Through firmware upgrades or such? I have a customer who has eight TLZ09s in a HSJ40 cluster configuration on VAX600 running VMS 5.5-2. If not..does anybody have any suggestions on a comparable solution..cannot get any TLZ07s since they went maintenance. Roy 339-5473

1212.1 | Go for it, full support in a later version. | SSDEVO::MARTENS | Qualification Program Manager | Mon Feb 17 1997 14:14 | 12 |
Roy, The TLZ09does work with HSOF V2.7 on the HSJ40 controller. There are some limitations caused by not having full support in that version. If you have a SCSI bus reset, the controller considers that the drive cache may not have been fully flushed, and reports that condition to the host, and the backup must be restarted. And of course it does not provide full name/error logging support. Bert | |||||
