After waiting a few days and UPRing a set of WBC batteries for a political ongoing customer situation, I finally get in a set dated 3/96. So do I dare install this set or do I wait for batteries with a newer "BORN ON" date. I have seen a recommendation that we do not install batteries that have a date older than 3 months. Is that really the case and if so what are we doing about purging this inventory from our logistics system. At this time we have several sets on order and SR17 keeps pushing back our eta. I currently have an IPMT case open and I see there are several others regarding this issue. How about an official engineering statement around battery shelf life and also about what is being done to address/solve these ongoing battery issues. Should an IPMT case be opened for every battery failure encountered? Joe

We would like ALL bad batteries returned to engineering. This will permit us to do failure analysis. |
