Is their a new procedure for installing license keys for the HSD30 product., On a new installation a paper license was not included with Write back cache. When the tech called Sales he was told the license comes on the PCMCIA card. Is this a change? If so how is the license activated. ? Brian

Not TRUE... Your problem probably is that the person thought you were talking about a HSD50 which has the license stuff already installed in nvmemory. I hope you got the right module because the cache module for the HSD50 IS different from that on the HSD40. We do not require licenses on the HSD50's but we do issue paper license's for them because it is stored in NV memory. The license info was NEVER written to the PCMCIA card... Call again and insist on the right answer... | |||||
