Hello
I was reading the release notes for v0241 of DECevent.
Appendix B states what devices are supported for analysis.
I read under alpha system (for both openvms and unix)
-AlphaServer 1000 4/200
-AlphaServer 1000a 4/266
-AlphaServer 8200
-AlphaServer 8400
-DEC 4000
-DEC 7000
That is not quite a lot of "analysable machines". I though we could
analyse AlphaServer 2x00 4/xxx and 2x00 5/xxx, AlphaServer 1000a
5/xxx...(I got this info from v2.3 release note, did we LOOSE some
machines from v2.3 to v2.4???)
I never see AlphaServer 4x00 in any release notes, but there is notes
that seems to say that those machines are "analysable".
Please, what is THE reality, or does the release notes reflect
the reality???
THanks in advance.
Louis Richard

4x00 will have anlaysis in the 2.5 release sceduled for release on June 20. The DECevent team is writing code as fast a possible. We do not decide what devices get coverage, that task is set by MCS mgt. with push from the SBU. Cheer's Keith

Thanks Keith
I hope you do not mind if I insist, what about
AlphaServer 2x00 4/xxx
AlphaServer 2x00 5/xxx
AlphaServer 1000a 5/xxx
that use to be supported according to v2.3 release note, did we LOOSE some
machines from v2.3 to v2.4?
Is there a way to extract this info with a dia command??
Thanks in advance.

Louis, We do not remove support for the devices we have coded in the past. We have never had analysis for the devices you listed. I assume you must be reading appendix A for the devices supported for Bit ti Text. The 2.3 release notes I have do not indicate analysis for the devices you list. We do not have a command that indicate what is supported for Bit to Text. A show threshold command will give you some idea of what is supported by analysis. HTH Keith
