Can someone like a product mamager give an accurate answer to this? I
was told by a service engineer today that all customers must buy a
license for the analysis part, that it is not automatic with any
    service contract.

If it is licensed, what is the part number, US list price.

If it included, my customer has a Gold service contract for over $15K
per month, and would like to get the PAKs. How do I get them?

	Ron,

Who ever told you that must know something the DECevent Engineering never
heard of. A customer with a valid hardware maintenance contract does not have to
pay for a PAK. This has always been the case since this and the previous
analysis tool were made availalble. The PAK protects digital from NON-contract
customers recieveing the value added feature of the tool. The field engineer
obtains a PAK from TIMA/TOOLS. The PAKs are good for one year and should
coincide with the service contract when ever possible.

This has been the practice since day 0 of these tools. If someone has changed
this process, I wish they would let the Engineering team know about it.
