Other than the fact that none of the files in that directory end
in *.*t, we do have a problem with reading the file. I will rectify the

| Well this is my fault. I'm not keeping kits on any system except pinkft
anymore. So whatever was on the other systems when I started is all that
will be there. Although I would have expected the V2.3 kit to still be
valid there since I haven't done anything to it. I haven't got the time to
manage 3 internal sites plus the external site. And since I have to keep
everything in a format readable by all platforms for the external site
it seems reasonable to mirror that on pinkft.
The easiest way to get the kit is via the web pages either internal or
external.

I have tried to download the VMS kit from the Internet and after following the
instructions and saving the files on a V7.0 system the following results occur:
All savesets give the same error.
E4MIKE>run DIA_VMSVAX_023.D-DCX_VAXEXE;1
%DCL-W-ACTIMAGE, error activating image DIA_VMSVAX_023.D-DCX_VAXEXE;1
-CLI-E-IMGNAME, image file $1$DIA5:[DOS]DIA_VMSVAX_023.D-DCX_VAXEXE;1
-SYSTEM-F-BADVEC, invalid change mode or message vector
When I dump some blocks from this file there appears to be text relating to
compression etc.

7.24 | this has been happening on the D saveset | DSNENG::KOLBE | Wicked Wench of the Web | Fri Apr 04 1997 11:02 | 8 |
| Mike, mostly likely your copy didn't complete do to a network problem. The
D saveset has been causing us a bit of grief with this due to its large size.
It only contains 2 of the KNLs but they are big. A recopy is in order. I don't
understand why the copy itself isn't showing us an error but it isn't in these
cases.
Hopefully the development going on now for V3.0 (future) will reduce the size
of the kits. liesl
