830.0. "mapping Siemens keyboard" by ANNECY::ADAM (Fabrice, CSS Annecy/France') Tue Mar 11 1997 12:29
It's for migrating from Data General to DEC Alpha, with Siemens terminals.
This customer wants to re-use the Siemens terminals on DUNIX V4.x,
they behave like ~VT300.
All is working fine, except for the characters with accentuation.
(in french, we have these funny 8bit characters ...)
On UNIX from Data General, this has been done in the .profile, by adding
filters with commands like kbdload, kbdset to remap keys.
I did not find these commands on our DUNIX. Is there an equivalent ?
thanks for help,
fab

| You'll probably have more luck asking that one in the
digital unix conference!
turris::digital_unix or pompy::shadow_digital_unix for
reading up..
