689.0. "From the Advocacy and Intelligence Index Web" by POWDML::HAMILTON_K () Mon Apr 14 1997 10:40

Putting promises aside, the US Senate confirmed the
nomination of Pete Peterson as ambassador to the Socialist
Republic of Vietnam, without a recorded vote. No one even
had the guts to put the vote on record.

President Bill Clinton and his Badministration, supported
by the Department of Defense and countless Congressional
gutless wonders of Washington, De Ceit, finally did what
they have wanted to do all along.

They formally abandoned 2,127 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen
                             and Marines.
Men and Women. Military and Civilian.

They abandoned the families. They abandoned the
                                veterans.
They abandoned every single man and woman who wears
                               a uniform.

1 minute for each and every one of the 2,127 fathers, sons,
husbands, brothers and friends, who have yet to come
                                  home.

I can only say I never voted for Clinton. While on active duty I was
ashamed to have him as "Commander And Chief". When I retired I refused
a letter from the United States because I didn't feel he was worthy to
put his name on any letter to any service man. God help us as long as
people like him are allowed to represent this country.
