Subj:	Subsets "OSFMANOP" and "OSFMANOF" 


	Dave Martino was installing Ada on MLS+ V4.0A and it failed
	with "can't find the above subsets".

	Where are those subsets located (they aren't on the MLS+ V4.0A
	CDROM -- could they perchance be on the Associated Products CD?
	[or are they supposed to be on the MLS+ CD? are they on the
	base Unix CD?])

1) Are you sure it's OSFMANOF, not OSFMANOS?

2) We don't ship MLS with those subsets; they are called MLSMAN*
instead.  We'll have to come up with a hack to make sure that layered
products can install on our system if they require the manpages
(though, *why* they require them is beyond me...).

3) As a quick hack for Dave, tell him to do the following command (as
root):

	touch /usr/.smdb./OSFMANOP405.lk /usr/.smdb./OSFMANOS405.lk

This *should* allow him to install Ada properly.

	OSFMANOP405 is on the Base Unix 4.0A CD. There was no 
  OSFMANOF on any of the CD's. There is an OSFMANOS
	For MLS, the subsets were renamed to MLSMANOP and MLSMANOS. 
  Linking to those subsets may fix the problem. 

	FYI- The ADA, RTL only version, is on volume I of the 4.0A 
 associated products CD. We only have the run time library only 
 versions. A full ADA, COBOL, etc. version is not available to us 
 for testing.

	Bat,
	I lied, Lee just scrounged a kit with the full blown
version of ADA and much much more. Anyway I tried installing
ADA and got the OSFMANOS & OSFMANOP missing error. I then used
Dave's fix to get around the problem. The subsets installed fine
after that. 
	FYI - I also had the ADABASE330 subset refuse to install
because subset ADALIB322 or later was missing. Does your customer
have this problem as well?

The workaround worked just fine, and the ADA man pages installed.
I did not get the ADABASE330 error though.
