    Can you use ADVFS with TruCluster?  I'm asking this question because
    one of our customers said that they read in a manual, I don't know
    which manual they are refering to, that if TruCluster is being used 
    ADVFS should not be installed.
    
    We have shipped alot of machines using ADVFS and TruCluster software
    both as the system disk and for the shared storaged configurations.
    If this is not correct we have a serious problem.

	Not really... all disks in an advfs domain must be in the same ase service follow the usual advfs rules of running defragment regularly...etc see the docs

	My understanding is that in a TruCluster, an AdvFS file system can be configured as an ASE service, but that at any given time the nodes that do not "own" the disks access it via NFS. Is this correct?

Yes and no..., Yes an ASE service AdvFS filesystem is only own by one and only one system. Yes the others system(s) CAN access the filesystem via NFS if the start/stop scripts have been tailored to NFS export the filesystem. But, No the other system(s) do not access it systematically and automatically as your wording seems to imply. Regrads, Manu.
