2091.0. "asemgr shows service on wrong node" by WRKSYS::ALONGI () Wed May 28 1997 10:11
I have 2 8400's running ASE 4.1 and DU 4.0B.
One of the 8400's went down and all the services failed over to the other one..
works great.
When I brought up the 8400, 2 of the services tried to fail back over..
one was successful but there was a backup running on the other one so it
didn't fail over (there was a device busy error in the daemon.log file)
The problem is that asemgr shows that it did fail over but it didn't.
The service is still available and I need to keep it that way. If I try to
fail the service over now is it going to hang up. Will it try to stop the
service on the node that isn't really running it and fail.
Oh, /var/ase/tmp does have the service on the right node.
Any suggestions
Thanks,
Doreen

| never mind
it fixed itself. The service failed itself over to the node that thought
it was running it
