Hi, Are BAAN applications Trucluster Production Server aware ? So far I know that I can build Trucluster Available Server scripts to implement high available BAAN environment. I have already the "Implementing Baan Applications with DEC Safe ASE" document. I have heard and read that BAAN applications were ready to use TCR Production Server making use of Memory Channel. BAAN applications can understand (or implement themselves) the DLM mechanisms needed to be considered as a TCR Production Server aware applications ? This enformation is very important in order to have a technology differential against our main competitors at ERP arena. Thanks in advance. Best regards, Leo Digital Technical Support

Baan IV was tested in a TruCluster Production Server environment using Oracle Parallel Server. It works and is supported, but performs very poorly. Therefor Baan suggests not to use it for performance reasons. If one wants to use it for availability reasons it is suggested to over-configure the system by at least 25% and to contact the CTC. -Han (Baan / DIGITAL - Cooperative Technology Center) | |||||
