Hi: I had a customer had Digital Unix 3.2D with ASE 1.3 and TruCluster installed. He's planning to do a rolling upgrade on one cluster member to Digital Unix 4.0 and ASE 1.4. However, he will not upgrade the other cluster member until next 3 or 4 monthes. There's not ASE services configured and Advfs file systems are locally mounted outside of ASE. Is this is a supported TruCluster configuration with mixed ASE 1.3 and ASE 1.4 version ? Or all customer member had to run exact same version of OS and ASE , although he did not utilize the ASE failover services. Thank you in advance. Chia-Jen Liu Chyan [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

| As I understand it, mixed version mode is only supposed to be used as a transient step towards same version mode. Note that you need DU 4.0A for ASE 1.4. Dave [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
