1993.0. "NSR + DMO + EBU -> DRD backups" by VAXRIO::LEO () Tue Apr 08 1997 20:04

    Hi,

        I know that I can make drd backups using dd command. But is
    not a real friendly solution to the majority of customers.

    	As far as I know Oracle Enterprise Backup Utility (EBU) can make
    drd backups only on exclusive mode (not with OPS activated). Is that
    true ? Can I just use EBU (without any other tool) in order to promote an
    drd online backup ?

    	If no, I would like to know if can I use NSR (for Oracle) + DMO + EBU
    to perform an online DRD backup ?

    	Can I do drd backups (online and exclusive mode ) just using NSR + DMO ?

    	What do exactly each one of these products aggregate on a raw device
    backup operation (more specially in a drd backup) ?

    	I saw similar notes on Oracle conference but I am still confuse
    about the answers.

    Best regards,
