A customer with critical applications is doing the following upgrades,
and wants to know if it is possible, or if there are problems to be
expected on the way:
1] Upgrade from Dunix vers. 3.2a to 4.0b
2] Upgrade Decsafe 1.2 to 1.4
3] firmware from VA8 to VA10 for the scsi controller on (he says) a
hsz40. His hw are alpha 2100's.

Kevin,
As for the OS and ASE, you can get there just not directly. Ie. for
the ASE case you need to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3 to 1.4. This is
VERY important and there are sigificant changes in this path in which
all of the upgrades are needed. The supported paths are all documented
in the documentation. Look to that for better directions.
