Greetings. I need to order two more memory channel boards for a Rawhide cluster. What I'm trying to find out is the difference between the CCMAA-AA and the CCMAA-BA variants of the MC board. Will either one work? Is one "better" than the other for clusters for some reason? What's the scoop? Thanks, Kevin Farlee

CCMAA-BA is what we refer to internally as MC 1.5. It is better because it has faster parts and better hardware logic. You do need to make sure the card is listed in the SPD for all versions of TCR that you want to run on it. I think the answer is it was not qual'd with TCR 1.0 but was with TCR 1.4 and will be qual'd on unannounced future TCR versions. Dave [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] |
