1920.0. "AdvFS panic on init 0 - SCSI_STAT_RESERVATION_CONFLICT" by DOOSJE::HERTA (For something fulfilled this hour, loved, or endured) Wed Mar 05 1997 12:05
This may be related to the events reported by Arvid in topic 1693
environment: 2 * AlphaServer 4100 (hostnames: snm011, snm012)
2 * HSZ50
Digital UNIX V3.2G + No. of ECOs
ASE V1.3 + ECOs 005, 011, 013, 014, 015
snm012 was running the only disk service currently defined. When I shut down snm012
(using init 0), AdvFS panic'ed on snm012, after the disks had been mounted on snm011:
advfs I/O error: setId 0x33120b87.0002edd5.fffffffe.0000 tag 0xfffffff7.0000u
page 113
vd 1 blk 2944 blkCnt 16
write error = 5
bs_osf_complete: metadata write failed
AdvFS Domain Panic; Domain nmcs-dom1 Id 0x33120b87.0002edd5
Investigation of the error logs showed a SCSI_STAT_RESERVATION_CONFLICT, from which
the system recovered automatically. There were no other errors in the error log
(full uerf log available on request.)
Is this a known problem?
