We have cluster moving to MC cluster. The really don't need MC. The plan to use the machine for: NFS server --- No problem Mail server --??? DNS + NIS --- I suggest making one node master and one backup QUESTIONS: 1. Any problems with clients running automount? 2. Can sendmail be set up to failover? 3. Can printers be set-up to failover? 4. can LAT devices failover?

QUESTIONS: 1. Any problems with clients running automount? Clients can run automuont. 2. Can sendmail be set up to failover? Yes. 3. Can printers be set-up to failover? I am not aware of local printers being able to be failed over. You might be able to failover network printers, however, I have not tried. Hi, I wrote in year 1994 a note explaining how to failover printer queue, but I dont remember the note number. try a dir /title=printer or /title=queue. Regards, Manu. |
