I have seen the response to note 1600. And I still want to have a clear clarification about the support issue of HSZ50 with TCR 1.0. I have 2 x 4100 with 2 x HSZ50. TCR 1.0 and UNIX 3.2g are going to install. The 2 x HSZ50 are for redundant controller purpose. From 1600.10, I need to modify the cam_data.c file. Beside this, what else I need to aware for the installation. Is 2 x HSZ50s support with 3.2g/TCR1.0? Thanks Don

As long as you make the cam_data.c change that is documented in the HSZ50 release notes (for pre-V4.0 systems), then YES. It is supported. With this required change, it will look and operate just like a fast HSZ40. Just to for warn you, there are also some patches to the KZPSA driver that were released AFTER V3.2G shipped. I suggest you get those patches as well. One delt with a panic, and the other enhanced data integrity. Fred Knight | |||||

Re .1 Fred, I found no patches related to kzpsa driver into the patch kit for v3.2g on oskits.zk3.dec.com. (and there the last version of patch is dated 2 oct 1996, quite old!) do you know if the patch yoeu told in reply 1 are available on the network? Mario |
