When I run asemgr, it takes forever to print out
"........", couple hours later, it comes up with
the menu. It print out that it is checking error
in the syslog file, but there is no error message
there. This is not acceptable, how to get around this?
or anyway to fix it?

Hi,
You might want to make sure that informational logging is turned on,
and then see if you get any information in the daemon.log file as to
what asemgr is waiting for (possibly a connection to the director).
