Hi Folks, A customer of mine is having problems attempting to build a new kernel on one of his systems running Unix V3.2G/Trucluster V1.0. After issuing `doconfig -c HOSTNAME' the system duly comes back with: error: can't find ASE supported devices file. The `doconfig' command terminates and the process is returned to the shell. I'm having him compare his working system with the system giving him the problems with `doconfig' to see if anything obvious is missing although if anybody would happen to know or have an inkling of what the problem might be exactly I'd be much appreciated. Thanks in advance Simon

Looks like the file `/var/ase/config/ase.devices' had mysteriously disappeared! The file is back in place together with it's link and all is now ok. Cheers Simon |
