Can anybody enlighten me on IDMP (ICMP Dynamic Routing Prococol or something like that).
My customer insists that this protocol makes it possible for two systems which are
exchanging traffic between network addresses nodeAnetA and nodeBneta to automatically
continue to exchange that traffic over netB if netA is lost (due to cable or nic
problems). He also claims that our competition, of course, supports this protocol now.
Anybody heard of anything like this? got any idea what he might be hearing? any idea why
this is impossible?
thanks,
d
