OpenVMS V7.1 Certification, Testing Results Summary: VAX and Alpha processors have been certified. The following EDS enhanced products were installed and tested under V7.1: TE V1.6 ECO02 LU0 V2.4 ECO01 LU62 V2.3 ECO01 PRE V1.3 ECO01 RJE V1.5 ECO02 R3270 V1.2 ECO02 3270DS V1.5 ECO01 DTF V3.2 ECO02 TE V1.6 ECO02, RJE V1.5 ECO02 and DTF V3.2 ECO02 were built specifically for V7.1 certification and are required to install properly. These products at this maintenance level are supported on OpenVMS V7.1. ___________________________________________________________________ The following non-EDS enhanced products were tested with the listed anomalies: DW_TE V2.0 ECO07 - ok on VAX, system version mismatch error on Alpha SNA Gwy ST V1.2 ECO08 - DCL tables incorrectly updated such that TRACE command runs NETRACE rather than CTF. SNA Gwy CT V2.1 ECO08 - DCL tables problem as with the ST. ST/CT problem is not V7.1 specific. DW TE won't work on Alpha 7.1. Both these problems will be fixed with ECO's as soon as possible. ___________________________________________________________________ As you know... BISYNC V1.8 and VMSSNA V2.2 will NOT work on OpenVMS VAX V7.x. Certification on OpenVMS VAX V6.2 is currently being worked. __________________________________________________________________ Regards, Bill Porcaro EDS Project Manager IBM Interconnect Engineering Services

7104.1 | Domain Gateway also supported | EDSCLU::GARROD | IBM Interconnect Engineering | Tue May 27 1997 11:23 | 13 |
In addition to that listed in .0 Domain Gateway V2.1 is fully supported on both OpenVMS Alpha V7.1 and OpenVMS VAX V7.1. Both should now be available on the Consolidated CDROM distribution. The VAX version (for reasons you don't want to know is known as V2.1A). Domain Gateway V2.1 is also supported right the way back to OpenVMS V6.1. The next UNIX consolidated CDROM distribution will also have a Domain Gateway V2.1 kit for Digital UNIX V3.2c or later including V4.0x (where x is one of several letters like a, b, c etc). Dave |
