7090.0. "Retirement of Alpha SNA Gateway product ?" by CHEFS::SHADBOLT_S (Guilty Bystander) Tue May 13 1997 09:47

On the www page (http://www/digital.com/info/year2000/y2k-d.htm) for
the year 2000, I read that the DECnet SNA Gateway CT and ST products
for Alpha VMS are due for retirement before the year 2000, but those
for Vax VMS are not. Is this really true, or should it be the other way
    round ?

    Steve.

The statement is incorrect. We are investigating the compliance issue with the CT and St gateway products.
We looked into the CT and ST Doamin gateway products and they are compliant with Y2000.
In general, our strategy is to support the SNA products for as long as possible.

Thanks Moshe. Can you instigate the update of the www page, so that we
do not give out the wrong message to our customers ? I have clicked
the "feedback" button, but in my experience, this always disappears into
    a void !
