An upgrade of X.25 has broken CTF for SNA functions.
Original configuration: Digital UNIX V3.2G
SNA Peer Server V1.3 for Digital UNIX
X.25 V1.3 for Digital UNIX
Due to compatability problems with UNIX 3.2G and X.25 V1.3, I had to
upgrade X.25 to WAN Services for Digital UNIX V2.0A. This upgrade also
included new subsets for CTF. The CTF changes were:
old: CTAANAL150 & CTABASE150
new: CTAANAL201 & CTABASE201
Now CTF does not recognize any of the SNA EMA management entities. We
reinstalled CTAANAL150 & CTABASE150 from the original Peer Server 1.3
kit, rebuilt the kernel and rebooted. But we still have the same
problem. Both versions of CTF work fine for all of the X.25 entities.

You need to reinstall the Peer Server. Ie delete the two Peer server
subsets and then reinstall them. This will fix up CTF.
When installing Peer Server ONLY install the two T21??? (I've forgotten
exactly what they're called hence the ???) subsets, don't install all
the rest.

Can we use CTF 2.0A with Peer Server V1.3 or do we have to stay with
CTF 1.5?

Yes you can and SHOULD use CTF V2.0A ie use ALL the subsets that
WAN V2 installs for you.

What is the difference between CTF 1.5 and 2.0A?
Are there features on 2.0a that would motivate anyone to upgrade
at the cost of having to re-install the peer server SW?
