7078.0. "TN3270 Extensions & Peer Server" by COPCLU::PALMANN () Mon Apr 28 1997 11:17

About TN3270 Extensions.
Is it possible to setup the Peer server in a way, so by
connecting to the same port, you can access different access names.

Like this:

	Port	Access name	LU-Pool

	23001	TSO_A		1-10
	23001   TSO_B		11-20

or, is there a one to one correlation between ports and access names.

7078.1One access name per portEDSCLU::HILLMANFri May 30 1997 12:5420
Jan,

With respect to the TN3270 Server:

It is NOT possible to setup the TN3270 Server in a way, to access more
than 1 access name per port. (ie. There is a one to one correlation
between a port and an access name.) The association is made during the
configuration process. The configuration file name is tn3270_conf.nnnn
where nnnn is the specified port number. The access name associated
with that port is a parameter assigned within that file. Hence, for
each port there will be a unique configuration file that will be
associated with each instance of the TN3270 server that is running.

In order to access a different access name via the same port it is
necessary to reconfigure the access name parameter associated with that
port and then restart the the TN3270 Server.

Hope this helps.
