7073.0. "Peer server and UNIX tuning" by FRSTI::CHRISTOPH () Wed Apr 16 1997 12:26
Hi,
we have a problem with a sna peer server. We are using about 360 snapre
sessions and some snadtf sessions. When the System is in produktion and all
the sessions are established we got interm. problems with snadtf from a vms
system. During a copy or directory we got the following error messages:
-sna-e-faiestlin, failed to establish a decnet link to the gateway
-system-f-linkexit, network partner exited
When no data is transfered over snapre (during night) snadtf has no problems.
So we expecting some kind of tuning on the unix system where the peer server is
running.
Can someone give us some hints or a document about tuning an Unix system when
using sna peer server with about 400 LU's defined??
DEC 3000 M300x
128 Mb
Digital Unix V3.2d
DECnet V3.2B
Sna peer server V1.3-04
SNAdtf v3.1-09
regards
christoph

| Sounds like a DECnet issue, not Peer Server.
How do you configure DECnet for 400 concurrent connections?
