I have a customer that is requiring that they
be able to telnet in from a unix(any flavor)
system to an Alpha system running DUNIX. From
the telnet session into DUNIX they want to
run the 3270 emulation software for a 3270
terminal session.
1st requirement is the presentation of the
3270 session within the telnet window. Will
a 3270 screen be presented in the telnet character
logon window or will the 3270 product want
to X-window back to originating unix box in
a seperate X window? The requirement is to
have everything presented and function
IN the telnet window.
2nd- the configuration would be an Alpha running
the "peer server" software layered product, corresiding with other
unix applications on an Alpha, a sync PCI hardware
interface adapter for connection to the IBM host,
the 3270 emulation layered product. Is this correct?
