Reading "Year 2000 Product Readiness" at http://www.digital.com/year2000/y2kread.htm, the status of DECnet SNA RJE is 4. This means "Not ready - no plan in place to be ready for Year 2000". I don't know what Y2000 problems DECnet SNA RJE has. Could anyone explain the Y2000 problems of RJE ? Thanks, Satoshi

There is no plan in place bacause no one asked for a plan. There is a 2 byte date field used internally. This needs to be investigated and a solution worked out before compliance is met. Bill | |||||

Hi Bill, I need more explanations. Reading RJE manuals, /AFTER is an only qualifier which relates to time. Absolute time, delta time, and combination of absolute/delta times are used in /AFTER. Do you mean only 2 byte YY is used even if a user enter YYYY ? If a your don't use /AFTER qualifier, doesn't Y2000 problem happen ? And, pls let me know who I should ask to solve the problem ? Product manager ? Thanks, Satoshi |
