Hello, my customer on his Digital UNIX 3.2G configured the IP alias. The problem is the relationship with the SNA PEER-SERVER 1.3 ECO4 and the IP alias, the SNA ACCESS SERVER components are listening on hostname address and not on hostname alias address. Are there any suggestion for have any solution about this behaviour? Thanks in advance. Paolo

The T212CAD process that listens on host address is in the process of being changed to listen on INADDR_ANY for TCP connections. This has been requested already. I believe it will NOT be available prior to V1.4 Peer Server which is overdue do to prerequisite software delays. Dave G. can correct me if I'm mistaken. Bill

Bill, thank you for the reply, the customer asks me that it is available to test the V1.4 Peer Server Field test release, is it possible this? (The customer is Olivetti). Bye. Paolo

>>>Field test release, is it possible this? I don't think so. Contact the Product Manager to see if he plans external field test sites. I believe for Peer Server it is Brian Ota, DELNI::OTA. Bill |
