Hi ! I've tried to install ObjectBroker V2.711 on a NT4.0 (Service Pack 2 is installed) in two ways without luck. First I activated the ObbSetUp-icon in the directory where the kit is located and second I use the Add/Remove Programs application in NT. In both cases I get the following ObjectBroker error-message: OBB_MSGFAIL(f), Could not format error message: 048....... . I've copied the ObjectBroker-kit from the following location: Directory SEND::OBB$KITS:[V27.V2711.NT] OBRN2711.ZIP;1 9096 21-JAN-1997 11:34:24.00 My experience with MS Windows NT is very little, so I hope somebody can help me. Thanks in advance ! Kind regards, Rune Flader, DK

re: Note 2451.0 by COPCLU::FLADER_R That's not how you install OBB under NT. Read the Installation Guide! Here's a hint...go to Control Panel | Network | Services | Add. Ken.... | |||||

Also, note that NT4.0 Service Pack 2 has a number of hot fixes associated with it (if you can, I'd go back to SP1). If you can't you may want to look at the hot fixes on the Microsoft FTP site: ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/fixes/usa/nt40/hotfixes-postSP2 Tony |
