                        Early Notice of Availability

               Open Object Transaction Middleware White paper

 This paper describes the technical components of the strategic partnership
 between BEA and DIGITAL and their plan to provide a simplified architecture
 for open, distributed systems.  This architecture will provide scalable and
 robust client/server computing in conjunction with emerging and current
 industry trends such as internet/intranet, the Web, and Network Computing
 initiatives.  The areas of technical cooperation include Object Request
 Brokering, Message Oriented Middleware, Transaction Processing, legacy
 application wrapping, application flow control, and message brokering, as
 well as middleware development and management tools and support functions
 such as consulting, system integration and training.

 You are welcome to copy the .DOC file from the TLE DECnet default directory:

	TLE::newootm.doc

 It will soon be posted on the VTX IR - most likely by the end of this week.
