1362.0. "add obbcmd.hlp to the book shelf; please" by EMNTAL::STADELMANN (Sepp @ZUO 760-2609) Fri Feb 07 1997 05:59

The file obbcmd.hlp is not included as a book into the bookshelf and is
also not referenced by one of the tools on-line helpers, at least I did
not find it easy when I wanted to look for a command syntax.

Please add obbcmd as a stande allone manual i.e. a command reference to
    the ObjectBroker Book Shelf.

obbcmd.hlp seams to be the only unreferenced file.

May we can just add a short cut to it during setup.

The ObbCmd.Hlp is referenced by the command line on Win32
platforms. If you type an obb command and use the -? switch,
you will get online help for the current command.

	FWIW, Suggestions really belong in:

(that's only of course if you want them tracked a:-)

Come on guys, this is not a 'suggestion'. The Command
manual *should* be in the books group and it isn't.

These days I just pull it out onto the desktop as
a shortcut. But *I* know its there. Customers dont.

So if it's not a suggestion, and it's most definitly not
a bug, then what is it? :-))

Seriously though, this is a suggestion (or a request for
new functionality, but a Rose by another name is still
a Rose :-). And it's a GOOD suggestion, but it needs
to be tracked in order to be considered by management
for inclusion in the product. It's not as simple as simply
adding a new icon on NT, this also needs to be considered
for Win95, and the doc folks need to consider adding a
link to it from the "bookshelf.hlp" file.

While maybe not a 'bug', it's certainly an oversight!

Calling it an 'oversight' assumes it was indeed an oversight,
but it could of just as well been a deliberate omission of
functionality that at the time was not deemed necessary.

I've used DOS and Windows applications that brought up winhelp
when you specified -? on the command line, but for which there
was no icon/shortcut to get to the same help file.

As I said, I agree that this is a good suggestion, I hope someone
	officially suggests it :-)
