Conference pamsrc::objectbroker

To track the OBB kit releases, we've modified our online kits directory
structure on the send/recv/enque/reque VMScluster. We will now provide all of
our kits in the online area. This includes our field test, SSB, and
patch-release (ie CLD) kits. Each kit will be named with a version and build
number. We will mark field test and SSB kits with an appropriate trailing
identifier to help distinguish those kits.

We added a second level of directories to the kits tree to help organize all of
the kits (there are six today). For example, in the V27 release ([V27]
directory), we've added a set of subdirectories underneath that which contains
each set of kits.

	  [.V2711]	! first CLD kit

The lowest numbered subdirectory under a release would represent the SSB kit.
Each kit subdirectory would be REQUIRED to have a README.TXT file which
describes the kit.

Here is the directory tree that has been created under the OBB$KITS tree:

Also, anonymous FTP access continues to be available through node
objwrk.zko.dec.com (16.31.160.176). It points to the same kits directory tree
described above. For example:

	objwrk.zko.dec.com:/ObjectBroker/kits/v27/v2710-ssb/aix

The documentation for each release is typically stored in the [.docs]
subdirectory of the SSB kit. For subsequent CLD kits, only release notes
are updated.

    
    ObjectBroker kits will continue to be available internally, but we
    have to keep track of usage. Therefore, to get a kit, you must contact
    Dan Gilfix for a password and the kit location.
