My wife gave me a Salvino Sandy Koufax porcelain statue for Christmas.
Shows Sandy in a Brooklyn Dodgers uniform. She ordered it a couple of
weeks before Christmas and when it first came in she said it was bro-
ken at the legs. She called the company up and the guy said he had one
more in his warehouse. The guy called back and said that that one was
also broken. He called up Salvino in California and asked them to send
one to my wife directly so she would get it on time. It came in the
Thursday before Christmas.
Instead of one of the regular 1 of 2,500 statues they sent my wife one
of the 1 of 300 Artist Proof Editions. I guess they had run out of the
regular ones.
