A long time ago, probably back in '71 or '72, I remember collecting
a small set of "World Series" cards.  They didn't have any player
pictures on them.  The front of each card was a cartoon depicting
the series in some way.  For example, I can vaguely remember the
one for the '70 series showed this big red contraption that looked
like a steamroller and a picture of a little bird dropping something
into it to stall it.  The back of the card was a capsule summary of
the Series, including the scores of each game.

There was a card for every Series, '03 to the then-present, even one
for '04.

I was never into collecting cards too much as a kid.  I would imagine
this set probably isn't much of a collectible and probably isn't
even listed in card mags.  Nonetheless, I remember how much I liked
that card set as a kid, and how educational and interesting it was
at the time.

Has anyone ever seen that set?  Anyone have it?
Mine is long gone, probably thrown in the trash long ago...

    I believe Fleer did these sets in 1970 and 1971. I have a few of
    the singles around  at  home somewhere.  I don't think they come
    too cheap now either and that's if you can find them.

    I have nearly the whole set, including some doubles.  I think it's
    the 1970 set that I have, with a few from '71.  let me know if you

I might be interested in buying them, depending on price of course!
(If you're interesting in selling them that is.)

Do these cards have a book value listed anywhere?
