642.0. "Help needed on Baseball Record " by TFH::CRONIN () Wed Jun 01 1994 10:39
I picked up an interesting item over the weekend and was wondering if
anyone out there has any info on it.
It is a record titled "My Greatest Thrill in Baseball as told by: Gil
Hodges, Whitey Ford and Johnny Antonelli". The record is the size of a
45rpm , except it is a 78RPM. I would assume that the record is from
the late 40's early 50's. It states on the record that it is a special
premium offer under exclusive rights in Doughnut Corporation of America
and is not available for retail sale. The record isn't in the greatest
condition, but it looks playable --- now to find a turntable with 78
RPM ....
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dan
