621.1 | Not a bad set ... | PENUTS::JST_ONGE | John St.Onge USDSL DTN 275-2715 | Tue Jan 04 1994 07:43 | 18 |
| I picked up a box of these also. Actually it looks like a regular
UD set with a different name. Anyway, there's a 10 card draft pick
subset, a 20 card Rookie Class subset, a 10 card Top Performers
subset (nice looking cards), 5 checklists that look like the packs
themselves. I got a 8 card All-Star Home Run Insert Winner Card.
It must be the top 8 finishers in last year's All-Star game home
run contest. Suprisingly I got a complete set of the Draft Picks,
Rookie Class, Checklists and I was one card short of the Top Per-
formers. I got Greg McMicheal for the Gold Signature card. So it
looks like the collation was better than usual.
Hey Walt did you get any of the "autograph" checklists ? I got a
Bonds and Griffey so I'm only missing three now.
Remove "Collector's Choice" and you've got a regular UD set. 3 out
of 5 sticks on the Gum-o-meter.

| I may have got a Bonds one. I'll check. I know I got a couple of the
leader cards (victories maybe?).

621.4 | Series II out | PENUTS::JST_ONGE | John St.Onge USDSL DTN: 297-9527 | Sat Jun 18 1994 10:52 | 21 |
| Picked up a box and some extra packs of Series II. Set includes a
Micheal Jordan Rookie Class card, but then what set doesn't include
a Jordan card nowadays. It also includes an Up Close and Personal
Micheal Jordan cards. I did pretty good as far as the silver sig-
nature cards go - 10 of the team checklists, 3 of the set checklists
including Griffey, Thomas and Gonzalez, a regular Thomas and Jordan.
Anyway, set includes 7 set checklists, 28 team checklists (nice full
bleed star shots), 10 card Up Close and Personal subset, 10 card
Future Foundation subset and 20 cards Rookie Class subset.
It'll be a pain getting all the checklists since the team checklists
are all stars.
The scratch off contest is kind of weird. Joe Zelent pointed out his
box had all winners for the 5th place prize. It was the same for me
and the single packs. UD will be shelling out some bucks if all the
scratch off cards have 5th place winners. The odds say 1:35 packs
for a 5th place winner.

Walt,
I think I saw UD CC BB at BJ's in Westboro last Friday for $24.99 + tax
when I bought my UD CC FB box for the same price.
If it wasn't Collector's Choice BB then it was regular UD BB and then
it was much more expensive.
I just can't remember whether I saw it at BJ's on Friday or Costco in
Waltham on Wednesday night.
Sorry!
Regards,
Denny

| Denny, it definitely wasn't the UD regular series for 25$ + tax. They
wanted 49$ I think for that. The Collector's Choice was 25$.
