615.0. "1993 - 1994 UD Parkhurst Hockey" by USCTR1::PAVLOCK () Mon Dec 20 1993 15:39

    Anyone have any information on the new Parkhurst Hockey cards from
    Upper Deck?

    Questions like:

    	- One Series or Two?

    	- How many cards in the set?

    	- When will they be shipping?

    	- Anyone seen any ads for Box/pack prices?

    Anything else you've run across, please share with the group.

    Regards,
    Denny

615.1Parkhurst...still nice!DNEAST::PURNELL_CHRIPyro Suppression TechnicianTue Jan 11 1994 09:0313

    Opened a box Friday...Series I is loaded with big names..unlike Leaf
    series I...

    2 inserts: Parkies Reprints and USA GOLD, both are 1:30 packs. Haven't
    had a chance to collate, so don't know if there's a set or not...will
    post a note later!

    	Did get the Parkies Reprint Header/Checklist and the Lindros USA GOLD!

    Price here in Maine was $50 a box!

615.2My experiences w/Parkhurst!!USCTR1::PAVLOCKFri Jan 28 1994 16:1725

    Well, I opened a box of UD Parkhurst last night. Really like the
    cards!! Similiar set up to last year's ProSet Parkhurst; 11 cards per
    pack + One Emerald Ice card per pack; 270 card set; two insert sets -
    One of the old Parkies (1 every 36 packs) and one Gold Foil subset (1
    every 36 packs) featuring 5 USA players and 5 Cananda players.

    Now for the Good News!!

    I got One Parkie and I Gold Foil, Seleanne 8^) , in the box plus I'm
    only 26 cards short of the 270 card set. For Upper Deck, I think
    that's a record, at least for me. Yes Steve, Greg picked this box,
    too!

    For other News!!

    Typically Upper Deck collation, multiple packs with the same player's
    card two and three times in the same pack. At least this time, one
    pack had two Borque's in it!!!

    Anyone else trying to do this set? What were your experiences?

    Regards,
    Denny
