| Opened my box last night. I got 5 of the Future Heroes, 1 America's
Team and the Trade Upper Deck card. The checklist card for the Fu-
ture Heroes wasn't a painting/drawing type of card this time, just
a card of Emmett Smith.

I bit on 2 boxes, got the Trade card, 2 heroes and 1 America's Team
loser in one box, in the other I got 4 America's team losers and
2 future heroes. Nice job by UD once again, although I can't
decide whether the glossy is an improvement or not, if they stick
like 93 baseball then it isn't an improvement. Nice to see single
series but with 530 total cards I was still 46 cards short of a set
after two boxes.
I'd like to trade loser cowboys inserts for future heroes if anyone
is interested. Or I'll buy your future heroes that I need.
UD has stated to dealers there will be no update and no factory sets
for football this year, retail wax is supposed to have Pro Bowl
inserts in place of America's loser Team, don't know if they will
be similiar to last year's "rainbow" design or what, but I believe
they are supposed to feature two players per card again.
Production is supposed to be down ~35% from last year's combined
low and high series football production, fwiw.

581.3 | Redemption Cards | RUFUS2::HAYES | | Wed Oct 27 1993 08:20 | 9 |
| Just got back the UD Football Exchange Cards. I received only six with
DE1 being missing. The back of the redemption card said up to 7 rookies.
Has anyone else got theirs back?
The six I got were:
Bledsoe, Mirer, Hearst, Jones, Conway and Bettis. They were labeled DE2 to DE7.

| Worth paying $16-$18 for?

581.5 | Exchange Cards | RUFUS2::HAYES | | Wed Oct 27 1993 11:41 | 6 |
| The cards are similar to the Playoff design (IMO). If Bledsoe and Mirer
are worth $7 each in Playoff and the number of exchange cards are equal
to or less then the Playoff numbers I'd answer yes, they are worth the
$16-$18. Hearst and Bettis are doing well also.

| Walt,
I agree with Steve.
I think these cards look great!!!! I think the Bledsoe rookie exchange
is better than his Playoff card. The holo in the background gives the
card more depth than the Playoff equivalent.
I too am disappointed that UD didn't return the RE1 card, some now
we've got RE2 through RE7, with RE1 missing.
Great set!! Definitely worth $18!!!

581.7 | maybe worth $18, but can be had for less | SEND::TANCILL | Sponsered by nobody | Thu Oct 28 1993 20:46 | 7 |

Are you saying you're going to pay $18 for an exchange card?
I wouldn't, you can do better, at one time I had them for $12.
Also I think I saw one for $14 in a store today...

| RE1 is probably the exchange card itself.

John's is right.
The RE1 is the exchange card itself. I wish they would have sent it
back with the other Re cards...
BTW, for anyone that's interested I saw two UD Rookie exchange cards at
Great American Baseball Cards, W. Concord, Mass (508-371-2300) for $10
each.
