| I thought the past Studio cards were kind of nice. As far as last
year's Bowman goes, the design itself was pretty boring and the
only thing making it hot was it's "scarcity" thereby making it
attractive to investors. If there was more out there, people
would stay from it.

| The hooy is buzzing with rumors that Jim beckett bought up lots
of 92 Bowman and the price increases are a reflection of those
purchases.
It seems way-way overpriced to me.

| Mike, especially when you see plenty of ads for boxes and singles.

| What is the price per box, now that it's been on the shelves for a few
weeks? How about price per basic set, i.e. not including sub-sets?

I don't know what the cost is per box now after a few weeks, but in the
first week it was $30/box at the BG show. I believe that's below
hobby dealer direct cost. I haven't heard or seen anyone blowing it
out like that since, generally I see for it $1.25 or $1.50/pack at
the retail card stores. Some have sold through their original case
or two and aren't selling boxes, so I haven't seen a box price in
awhile.

I picked up a box at Pace last night for $41.98. Most of the shops
up in Concord are selling them for $54.00 a box and $1.50 a pack.
Toys R Us in Concord has them for $1.49 a pack.
At a show in Concord last weekend one dealer had them but wasn't
sure what other dealers were going to sell them for so he left his
home so as not to loose money if his price was too low.
