    92 Pro Line cards are out (Sam's Club Hudson,$35/box).  The numbering
    continues from last years 309 cards, taking it up through, 1025 total
    for the two years. That's right, this years ProLine has 716 cards in
    one "series".  That's alot ecspecially with the steep box price.
    I ignored last year's ProLine but this year I bit mainly because it is
    one of only three sets this year (ProLine, SkyBox, & GameDay) to 
    have the NFL properties set of players, in particular Ricky Ervins
    of the Redskins.  Some of these NFL Properties players (Montana, Marino, 
    etc.) also appear in the UD G/Gold card subset, but Ervins did not.
    
    So I bought a box and actually found myself enjoying some of the
    stories and pictures. Alot of the players play golf in their spare
    time, that gets a bit old, but other cards are really interesting.
    
    Last year they had 309 "Portrait" cards.  300 NFL personalities,
    7 NFL Spirit Collectables of woman of the game and 2 SPs.
    This year they add 212 more Portrait cards.  Then they have 9
    card subsets of 55 different players which they have dubbed
    "Pro Line Profiles".
    
    Autograph cards are back, one per box average.  I got one, William
    White of Lions.  New for this year is the 18 card Qaurterback Gold
    subset, I got 3 of thee in my box.
    
    Having opened the box I'm glad I bought it as it has a boatload
    of Redskins, got one Ervins, but there are 9 cards sets on Rypien,
    Clark, Byner, Gibbs, etc.  plus I hit two of the "Throwback" cards
    which are part of the 212 Potrait cards I beleive.  One was of
    Sony Jurgenson and the other Charley Taylor, both my heroes at
    quarterback and wide-receiver when I was growing up.
    
    Haven't sorted them all yet, but it appears this set will take
    some major trading to complete or perhaps it's at least a two
    boxer.

    I forgot to mention I got most of the info on the set from the
    wrapper and from Checklist A, which is not really a checklist
    but more of an introduction card.  However, attention saint,
    they do have checklists B thru I which list the entire 91-92
    collection.  I think I got A, E and one other in my box.  This
    is a serious checklist "subset"!

    Thanks for the  info  Jeff  on  the checklists ! I'll have to start
    hunting them down. They can't be any worse than the Pacific Trading
    FB checklists. rjk traded me a couple of them and I'm still missing
    three of the 8. I never did find any of the ones from last year and
    they're only listed for a couple of bucks in the price guides.
