| I picked up a box from the local dealer, and after opening the whole
box found that I was 298 cards short of the set. The set is 705 I
believe. The gold cards look great, the first pack I opened was a
Frank Thomas, and that is one that I've heard is hard to come by. I got
about 60 duplicates from the one box that I opened.

Ray,
What did you pay for the box of Boman? Where did you get it?

| $50.00 pre-ordered from dealer up here in Augusta. Also saw them at a
small show here in Maine yesterday for $1.75-2.00 per pack.

Geez, Ray they just came out ... where did this information come from ?
By the way, while the gold cards look pretty nice, overall the cards
are kind of bland with those white borders and no logos. Sounds like
the distribution is good though if you only had 60 duplicates in a box.

| For those of you sorting your Bowmans and notice you're missing card
#533, check your 553's. #533 is Pat Clements and it is numbered #553
which is actually Wille Banks.

| I opened two boxes of Bowmans I got in a trade. Distribution wasn't too
bad - only missing 20 cards out of 705.

I was real surprised by how nice the Bowman's looked. Sort of an older
looking front which was neat, more traditional, and a different looking
back with a little flashback blurp printed. I like them.
