467.0. "1967 Red Sox "Impossible Dream Team" ReUnion Show" by CERBUS::KARLSON (Only 133 shopping days until Xmas!) Fri Aug 14 1992 16:08

It might as well have it's own note. I imagine, good or bad, this
show will go down in infamy much like the 500-HR show a couple years
    back in Atlantic City.

    More info.

Autographs prices are $3/player (except Yaz), and this includes a
signature on *anything* (Balls, flats, bats, uniforms, underwear).

Yez is $20, and he will sign only balls and flats -- no bats or
    uniforms.

A Super Ticket is $75, and includes one signature of every player
on anything. Except Yaz who will sign only balls and flats.

A ball signed by all players appearing is available through mail
order for $100 (a bargain when you consider standing in 25 autograph
lines over 3 days, it's worth the extra $17 [$75 for a super ticket,
$8 for a ball, $17 is what it will cost you to go mail order]).

Cooperstown Bat Company is creating a limited edition bat (only
250 made) for this re-union. Anyone who knows anything about bats
knows that CoBatCo's limited edition bats (usually a production
run of 1,000 bats) invariably rise in price -- usually dramatically.
Their extremely limited edition bats (250 production) have never
failed to rise in price. And the bats they make for these limited
    editions are *beautiful*.

The bat is available for $250, or signed by every player attending
(including Yaz who supposedly is no longer signing bats), for $400.
I have not yet been able to ascertain if you purchase the bat
unsigned if you can have Yaz sign at the show.

I think the latest SCD had a more up to date ad, I'll check and see
if there is an appearance schedule, and if so, will post it.

    Hope these notes help.

ps: Anyone who knows Nashoba will know that you better get there
early each day, or expect to parka LONG way away from the
school, on the side of a pretty heavily travelled route.

Also, I would *HIGHLY* recommend advanced autograph tickets
for this show. Anyone who doesn't know what to do to order
advanced tickets, contact me, and I'll be glad to give a
primer -- ditto anyone who doesn't know what to expect from
an autograph show of this magnitude.

I went to the Saturday show with my nephew to get Yaz's Autograph. It
was a pretty good turn out. I think Yaz was under the influence by the
time we got up to the table. When we got up there he spilled a beer on
himself and was smoking Marlboro's. He seemed uncomfortable about the
whole thing but was somewhat polite and would write a little extra
something if you asked. If you could read any of his writing it was a
    bonus!

All the other players seemed in good spirits and joked with all the
people that got there auto's. There was Lonborg, Rico, Andrews, Boomer,
Sparky Lyle, Gibson and 1 or 2 others that I can't remember.
