Daryl, I think they were Ziplog bags (does Glad make those ?). Not a
bad price though.

John's right -- they were Ziploc, and they had to be the sandwich
bags. Glad has their own version of zipper-type baggies, and is
different than Ziploc.

| Also, I beleive that there are 11 cards to the set, not 13. Also, 1
card per box is inserted with the product, so you can kill to birds
with one stone; Pack your kids Jimmy Dean sausage in Ziploc sandwich
bags for lunch! 8^)
A word of caution: The cards inside the cartons are right underneath
the "pinch and pull" easy open flaps. Luckily, I considered that prior
to ripping open the 1st box, or I would've destroyed Warren Spahn.
Be Carefull!!!!!

| Do you guys get "David" brand sunflower seeds? They have an interesting
offer with their product. For 5 UPC's and $26.00 you can receive a
genuine Rawlings "Ken Griffey, Jr." adult model fielder's glove. In
either a left or right hand model, no less. I don't know if any of you
have priced good leather lately, but this is a decent deal if you need
a glove; In fact, maybe when we're old and gray and ole' Ken is in the
HOF, it might be worth a few bucks.
They also offer a child's model of the same glove as well as aluminum
little league bats for the same 5 UPC's and less money, so if your kid
needs some stuff, it's worth considering.
It took me all of five minutes to find the necessary wrapper's blowing
around the local softball complex, so If anybody wants some, I'll
gladly trade them for Mootown Snacker's UPC's!

| The wife picked up a couple boxes of the Ziploc Sandwich bags and
I got a Yogi Berra and Willie McCovey in the boxes. Cards aren't
too bad and best of all, they had logos on them - no airbrushing.
I didn't see any MLB logos on them though.

| Fleer Send away:
Remember this one? Send in ten wrappers and a dollar, and get three
Clemens cards. I sent away for these so long ago I forgot about them. I
sent for three sets on the same day. I finaly got one about 2 weeks ago;
Another arrived yesterday. Talk about taking your time!
Apple Jacks:
They were (are?) including mini-pennants with the cereal. For something
like 2 UPC's and $3.00 you got the whole set, including Florida and
Denver. I got these yesterday, and they're kind of neat.
Still waiting on MooTown, French's, Post, and David Sunflower Seeds.
I love this stuff!

| The Proctor & Gamble one kind of stood out. Awhile back some of us had
some idle thoughts relating to "personal hygiene" products associated
with card giveaways, and our ever vigilant moderator cautioned us about
locker room conversations. He was right, of course. But the sendaway
ad I saw in Sunday's paper had a group of specific products from P&G,
not just any P&G product. If I remember correctly, the 3 UPC's had to
come from 3 different products, and the product list consisted of 2
kinds of "Pampers", 2 kinds of "Depends", 2 kinds of "Charmin", 1 kind
of tissue (I forgot the brand name), 1 kind of paper towel (Bounty),
and, of course, "Always", a feminine hygiene product.
Now, if you need Pampers, Depends, and Always, you're all set. If not,
perhaps you can buy them as gifts?
8^)

also have another. For 3 UPC's from any Jimmy Dean sausage product and
$1.00, you can receive a "Living Legends Of Baseball" set. The set
consists of six cards, and includes Brett, Ryan, Yount, O. Smith, Fisk,
and Ripken, Jr.
Not too bad for a buck.
