| I don't understand the process. I thought that there were going to be
tryouts for the Olympic team and that the pros that are listed in the
base note were invited to try out. Is it automatic that they make the
team?

| Nope, I guess the Olympic committee decided these guys were too good
for tryouts, so they're all automatically on the team. 2 more players
are still to be added, at least one college player.
Any dates on when the set will be available? will there be packs,
or just a box set? I wonder if they'll wait for the other player(s).
Personally, I wish they'd wait and get some actual pictures from the
games. It could be a whole different team by the time it happens. What
if Robinson can't play? what if Bird can't play? what if Johnson can't
play.

| The breakdown is its a 110 card set, 8-cards/pack, 36-packs/box,
12-boxes/case. Due out sometime in the July time frame havn't heard
anything on the price yet.

You beat me the question walt, it seems really silly not to at least
include the entire team now that the final two players have been
named. Why do the card companies have to do everything so early these
days?

Not according to Miguel's note in .0, re-read it. If you're the
only company doing a set exclusively on this, why not get all the
players on the team, maybe even in their olympic uniforms?

| USA Basketball cards are out.
They're pretty nice looking, although not quite what I expected.
I was expecting something like a Stadium card, but they're more like
Pro Set Platinum, if I had to compare the stock of the cards.
The fronts almost look like a Broders type card, they're borderless,
and they contain the USA basketball logo and the players name. The
backs are similar to Hoops.
I bought a couple packs and there are some real nice action shots,
but I don't think they're in the same league as Upper Deck.

| I agree with Denny. Let's buy USA Basketball cards and get pictures of
the players in their NBA uniforms. Makes a lot of sense to me!

| Costco in Nashua has these cards for 38.00/box.
Anyone bought a box? I'd be interested in knowing if you get a set or
two from one box. How many plastic inserts are there?
What's retail for the packs?
