Does anyone know if these have any value? How about a pointer
to a person or reference book ?
A friend just gave me hundreds of these orignal AP wirephotos.
They have some great pictures (some I recognized). There are
lots of Ali, Reggie, Munson, Billy Martin, etc. They encompass
all sports and are in reasonably good shape.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen these only once at a show. The guy was selling them from
anywheres from $1.00 to $5.00, depending on which player was in the
picture. This guy had them from the late 50's to late 60's, hundreds
of them. I picked up a couple of Mantle's for $3.00. I guess this is
how the pictures got into the newspapers back in the old days?? I
would think if you could get a few autographs on these, they would
be worth even more someday.

A word of caution. Please check and make sure that you can sell these.
The laws around this stuff is/are complicated.
